Julio Matul-Hernandez seeks review of the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA) order denying his application for asylum and withholding of removal. We deny the petition for review.
I. Background
Matul-Hernandez was born in San Francisco, La Union, Quetzaltenango, Guatemala: He was forced into the Guatemalan army as a teenager, and after approximately a year and a half, he deserted during a training exercise in the mountains.
