On the twenty-ninth day of March, 1879, the plaintiff sued out an attachment in the Circuit Court of St. Louis against George H. Sackett, Thomas Davis, Laureston Towne, and George P. Tew, composing a partnership firm under the style of Sackett, Davis & Co., residing and doing business in Providence, Rhode Island. The petition was in the ordinary form, on a note for $5,000, with interest.
