REQUESTED BY: Senator Merton L. Dierks In connection with your introduction of LB 1257, you have requested an Attorney General's Opinion addressing the ability of the Legislature, under Article III, section 5, of the Nebraska Constitution, to engage in legislative redistricting more often than once after each federal decennial census, in the absence of a court order.
