The defendant, Jason Czekalski, appeals his convictions on two counts of aggravated felonious sexual assault (AFSA), see RSA 632-A:2, 1(1) (1996) (amended 2003), II (1996) (amended 1999), and one count of pattern AFSA, see RSA 632-A:2, III (2016), following a jury trial in Superior Court (Kissinger, J.). On appeal, he argues that the trial court erred by denying his motion to suppress evidence related to a January 2013 telephone call between the defendant and the victim, recorded by the police with the victim’s consent.
