The defendants were convicted and sentenced under an indictment for violations of the dispensary law, containing- three counts. The first count charges defendants with selling intoxicating liquors at Anderson, S. C., to several persons named, on the 20th day of March, 1899, and “on divers other days 'both before and since that day,” up to the time of the indictment. The second count charged defendants with keeping and maintaining a place where intoxicating liquors are sold, and where persons were permitted to resort for the purpose of…
