MEMORANDUM OF DECISION ON DEFENDANT'S MOTION FOR SUMMARY JUDGMENT

The defendant, Anthem Health Plans, Inc. ("Anthem"), has moved for summary judgment against ten of the plaintiffs in the above-captioned case.1 These ten plaintiffs are physicians who claim that Anthem's conduct as an intermediary between them and their patients with regard to authorization of and payment for services breaches Anthem's contractual obligations, including an implied covenant of good faith and fair dealing.
