Appeal from a judgment of the County Court of Broome County (Smith, J.), rendered November 17, 2000, upon a verdict convicting defendant of the crimes of robbery in the second degree (two counts) and grand larceny in the fourth degree.

Defendant’s convictions stem from an incident in October 1999 during which he and another forcibly stole a purse and its contents from Ann Torto (hereinafter the victim) who was injured during the incident.
