Robert J. Herring appeals from an adverse final judgment entered on his petition for declaratory judgment filed in the pending administration of the estate of his grandfather, Herbert H. Herring. The petition sought a determination of his ownership interest in a six-month certificate of deposit originally obtained from the bank by his grandfather on May 25, 1989. The certificate of deposit contained directions for “automatic renewal” at the end of each six-month term, with interest added at maturity.
