ROSS, Circuit Judge.

Odell Sumpter, Jr. appeals his conviction on April 27, 1981, in the district court 1 for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon in violation of 18 U.S.C.App. § 1202(a) (1976). Appellant rests his appeal on the argument that the primary evidence offered against him at trial, a .22 caliber semi-automatic pistol, should have been suppressed. According to the appellant, this evidence was obtained in a search pursuant to a warrant which violated the fourth amendment because it was based on an affidavit insufficient to show probable cause. 2 After careful review of the…
