MARCUS, Circuit Judge:

In October 2015, Max Jeri arrived at Miami International Airport'-on a flight from Lima, Peru, carrying 7.95 kilograms of cocaine secreted in various items in his luggage including jackets, notebooks, purses, and pillows. Jeri was charged, tried by a jury, and convicted of importing a controlled substance and of possessing a controlled substance with the intent to distribute.
