Defendant Jerry L. Word appeals his conviction on 45 counts of violating the drug laws of the United States. For the reasons given below, we affirm.

On November 13, 1985, defendant, a licensed physician, was indicted on 46 counts, including conspiracy to distribute controlled substances, distribution of controlled substances for other than a legitimate medical purpose, and attempted distribution of controlled substances for other than a legitimate medical purpose.
