| ¡^Defendant, Brian Thompson, appeals his conviction for attempted second degree murder. For the reasons that follow, we affirm.

*1104Defendant was charged in a bill of information on June 22, 2009 with attempted second degree murder of Connika Proctor in violation of La. R.S. 14:27 and 14:30.1. He pled not guilty and proceeded to trial on March 6, 2012. After a two-day trial, a 12-person jury found defendant guilty as charged by a vote of 11 to one.
