MONROE, Judge.

Chris Turner sued his employer, Von Braun Civic Center, seeking workers’ compensation benefits and alleging a retaliatory discharge. Turner settled his workers’ compensation claim. The civic center filed a motion for a summary judgment on Turner’s retaliatory discharge claim, alleging that Turner had failed to present his claim to the City of Huntsville within six months, as required by Alabama’s non-claims statutes, §§ 11-47-23 and 11-47-192, Ala.Code 1975.
