This was an application in the circuit court of Cook county in the name of the People, upon the relation of Maria Welter, against the appellants, as trustees of the police pension fund of the city of Chicago, to coerce them to restore the relator’s name to the pension roll, from which the petition averred her name had been stricken without lawful authority by the appellants, and to require them to pay her, as beneficiary of her deceased husband, Dominick Welter, a pension.
