The instant appeal emanates from allegations that the appellant, the father of Linda K., had sexually abused his daughter, a child under 18 years of age. With respect to evidence admissible in child protective proceedings pursuant to Family Court Act article 10, Family Court Act § 1046 (a) (vi), effective August 1, 1985, provides: "previous statements made by the child relating to any allegations of abuse or neglect shall be admissible in evidence, but if uncorroborated, such statements shall not be sufficient to make a fact-finding of abuse or neglect.
