DEADT, District Judge.

This suit was commenced on November 1C, 1874. in the circuit court for the county of Jackson, and on March 27, 1870. as to the defendant Gris-wold, was removed into this court. The transcript was filed in this court on January 9, 1S77. It was heard in this court on the pleadings and proofs made and taken in the state court. The plaintiff seeks to recover the one-half of the sum of $2,5S0, alleged to have been wrongfully received by the defendant Griswold from the United States, on November 9, 1874, on account of supplies furnished by Wallace A.
