| ?Defendant/appellant, Brian Chappell (“Chappell”), appeals his conviction and sentence of attempted receiving stolen property; namely, a 2008 Fontaine lowboy trailer.

Chappell was originally charged with one count of receiving stolen property valued at more than $500 in violation of La. R.S. 14:69, and with one count of theft by fraud in violation of La. R.S. 14:67. He entered a plea of not guilty on each charge. After a trial, the jury returned a responsive verdict of attempted receiving of stolen property as to Count 1, and a verdict of not guilty as to Count…
