This case arose from a three-car collision between vehicles driven by Donald Durr, Bennie Ray Saucier and Dessie Gay.

Saucier was driving his employer’s vehicle within the course and scope of his employment at the time of the accident. Durr and Hunt Process Corp.-Southern (Durr’s employer and the owner of the vehicle driven by Durr) filed suit against Audubon Insurance Company (Dessie Gay’s insurer) and Allstate Insurance Company (Durr’s uninsured motorist insurer).
