— Paramjit Singh Dhaliwal shot and killed fellow Farwest cab driver Jasbir Bassi. At the time of Dhaliwal’s murder trial, his defense attorney was simultaneously representing several defense witnesses in a shareholder action against Farwest. His attorney had also previously represented a key prosecution witness in a criminal matter for which Dhaliwal was also charged. Dhaliwal was convicted of premeditated murder in the first degree and carrying a concealed handgun.
