Poché, J.

Defendant being sued on a contract of lease for the sum of six hundred and fifty dollars, reconvened by a demand sounding mainly in damages and amounting to twenty-seven hundred dollars.

*660The case was tried by a jury, who found in favor of plaintiff on his principal demand, in the sum of three hundred and fifty dollars, and against him on the reconventional demand in the sum of six hundred and forty-nine dollars and ninety-live cents, and interests on the sum of $449 86$ at eight per cent per annum from date until paid.
