WATHEN, Chief Justice.

Defendant Mark Ellis appeals from the judgment of conviction entered in the Superi- or Court (Penobscot County, Kravchuk, J.) following a jury verdict finding him guilty of gross sexual assault, 17-A M.R.S.A. § 253(1)(B) (Supp.1994). Defendant contends that the court erred in determining the competence of the witnesses and in disallowing the testimony of an expert witness. Finding no error, we affirm the judgment.
