In an action brought by the county treasurer of Montgomery County, Myron Redfern, the circuit court sustained an objection by the defendants, Penn Central Company, Norfolk & Western Railway Company and Central Illinois Public Service Company (hereafter, the objectors) to the 1968 taxes levied by the Community Unit School District No. 3 of Montgomery County. Judgment in favor of the objectors was entered in the amounts the court found the taxes paid under protest by them had been excessive.
