It has been held by this Court that C. S., 2591, must be strictly complied with. The supervisory powers invested in the clerk of the court over sales under a mortgage, deed of trust, etc., are not an ordinary judicial sale, but confined by the statute to sales, and resales under the power of sale contained in the instruments, and in accordance with the directions of the statute. Lawrence v. Beck, 185 N. C., 196.
