The action in this case was commenced by the service of summons, with a copy of the complaint attached thereto, upon one George F. Schminke, at Abbeville C. H., on the 7th day of November, 1900, by the sheriff of Abbeville County, under the claim that the said Schminke was an agent of the defendant company, a corporation duly chartered under the laws of the State of Missouri. In the complaint it is alleged that “the cause of action set forth herein arose in this State,” and the other allegations set forth as the cause of action…
