The plaintiff commenced this action to recover damages for injuries he sustained when he tripped and fell in the underground parking garage of the Westchester County Courthouse. The plaintiff parked his car in the garage on the afternoon of June 12, 1997. After concluding his business at the courthouse, the plaintiff returned to the B2 level of the garage where he had parked. As the plaintiff was walking toward his car, his right foot caught on something which caused him to fall forward.
