Appeal by the defendant from a *884judgment of the County Court, Westchester County (Lange, J.), rendered January 30, 1986, convicting him of criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree, after a nonjury trial, and imposing sentence.

Ordered that the judgment is affirmed.

The defendant was arrested and charged with possession of a firearm when, following a stop of the vehicle in which he was a passenger, the police officers recovered a .12-gauge sawed-off shotgun which was protruding from underneath the defendant’s seat.
