Plaintiffs Jerry W. Grimes and Mildred Grimes (citizens of Alabama) bring this lawsuit against defendants General Motors Corporation (GM) (a Delaware corporation with its principal place of business in Michigan) and Grumman Olson Industries, Inc. (which is not incorporated in Alabama and has its principal place of business in Michigan), charging that the defendants caused an accident in which Mr. Grimes lost control of his car and was ejected, suffering severe and permanent physical injuries.
