This is an action on a Sheriff’s bond, given by defendant Eeed, Sheriff of the County of Humboldt, and executed by the other defendants as his sureties.
The complaint alleges that the plaintiffs, in the year 1856, brought an action in the Superior Court of the City of San Francisco against Eoss and McLean for three thousand dollars then due and owing from the defendants to the plaintiffs.
