| ¿The City of Shreveport appeals a judgment of $338,581 arising from a trip and fall on a buckled city sidewalk. For the reasons expressed, we affirm.

Factual Background

Marion Williams was taking an exercise walk with her friend and coworker Tracy Terry on the morning of May 4, 2006. Although they had been walking together for months — the 50-year-old Ms. Williams proudly testified that she had lost 35 lbs. and was controlling her diabetes — they had never walked the sidewalk on the east side of Line Avenue just south of 73rd Street.
