In a Chapter 7 bankruptcy proceeding brought in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Middle District of Alabama, SouthTrust Bank of Dothan, N.A., a creditor, filed a complaint for a declaration of its rights relative to those of other creditors of Alpha Steel Company, Inc., the debtor. One of those other creditors, Bates & Associates, Inc., responded to SouthTrust Bank’s.lawsuit with a three-count counterclaim against the bank.
