liOn October 16, 2014, Dean Hart pled guilty to resisting an officer with force or violence, aggravated battery and possession of cocaine. The plea occurred during the course of his bench trial for,,eight offenses. In accordance with a recommendation by the state recited during the plea negotiation, the court sentenced Hart to 10 years at hard labor for aggravated battery, concurrent to a sentence of three years at hard labor for resisting an officer, and consecutive to a suspended five year hard labor sentence for possession of cocaine.
