¶ 1. Defendant Anthony Bray appeals from the district court’s decision to hold him without bail pending his trial. Defendant is charged, among other things, with kidnapping, which carries a maximum term of life imprisonment. 13 V.S.A. § 2405. Defendants charged with life-imprisonment crimes may be held without bail “when the evidence of guilt is great.” Id. § 7553.
