These four appeals arise out of four separate orders issued by the bankruptcy court which determined that the appellees were “customers” of the debtor Brentwood Securities, Inc., (Brentwood), and thus eligible for protection under the Securities Investor Protection Act (SIPA). The Appellant, Securities Investor Protection Corporation (SIPC), essentially argues that the disputed investments were not made through Brentwood and accordingly the ap-pellees do not fall within the category of “customer” of the debtor.
