Chauffeurs, Teamsters and Helpers, Local Union 238 (Union) sued CRST, Inc. (CRST) in Iowa State District Court based on 29 U.S.C. § 185(a) because of its refusal to arbitrate a grievance filed by Jerry Otta-way, an employee and Union member. The case was removed by defendant’s motion to the United States District Court for the Northern District of Iowa1 pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 1441. CRST then filed a motion for summary judgment.
