The district attorney of the Seventh judicial district, of which district the county of Hinds is a part, instituted an action, without the approval of the attorney-general, for and on behalf of the said county, to recover jointly and severally of appellants, who were members of the board of supervisors of the county, during the years 1929, 1930, and 1931, an aggregate sum, approximately seven thousand dollars, which the declaration alleges was improperly drawn by the said members as compensation or salary during the years aforesaid.
