The petitioner, Ralph A. Lorenzetti, Prosecuting Attorney of Jefferson County (“the State”), seeks a writ of prohibition pursuant to the original jurisdiction of this Court to prohibit enforcement of the September 5, 2014, order of the Circuit Court of Jefferson County, dismissing fifty-three counts of a fifty-four count indictment against respondent Elizabeth A “Libby” Shanton.
