Appeal from St. Louis City Circuit Court. — Hon, Robert M. Foster, Judge. (1) Where a member of a benefit society contracts in advance, in his application and certificate, that subsequently enacted laws shall form the basis of his contract, and expressly binds himself and beneficiary to be governed by such laws, an after-enacted law reducingthe amount agreed to be paid in the certificate in the event of the suicide of the member, will be enforced.
