1Opinion of the Court

The opinion of the Court was delivered by

GARIBALDI, J.

This appeal concerns N.J.S.A. 9:2-2, which provides in pertinent part that the custodial parent shall not remove minor children from this jurisdiction “without the consent of both parents, unless the court, upon cause shown shall otherwise order.” (emphasis added). Specifically, the issue is what constitutes an adequate showing of “cause” for a court to allow *46the custodial parent to remove the children from New Jersey over the noncustodial parent’s objection.
