Fred Wolferman, Inc., the plaintiff, operates four retail grocery and meat markets in Kansas City. It employs nineteen butchers, at least three of whom are union members. Plaintiff’s other employees, including the truck drivers, belong to unions. Defendants Root and Thomas are the Business Agent and President, respectively, of the Amalgamated Meat Cutters and Butcher Workers of America, Local Union No. 576.
