JOINER, Judge.
Walter Wallace appeals his conviction for heat-of-passion manslaughter, see § 13A—6—3(a)(2), Ala,Code 1975, and his resulting sentence, as a habitual felony *465offender, of 30 years’ imprisonment.1 For the reasons set forth below, we affirm.
Facts and Procedural History
At trial, the State’s evidence tended to establish the following: On the afternoon of November 24, 2012, DeLouis Robinson became upset with Wallace, and she claimed that Wallace owed her money to pay a cellular-telephone bill.
