Appeal from a judgment of the Supreme Court (Coutant, J.), granting plaintiff a divorce and ordering, inter alia, equitable distribution of the parties’ marital property, entered January 19, 1988 in Tioga County, upon a decision of the court, without a jury.
The parties were married on July 4, 1964 and have two children, a son born July 9, 1968 and a daughter born June 10, 1975. Plaintiff commenced this action for a divorce on the ground of cruel and inhuman treatment which defendant opposed.
