FOR THE COURT:
¶ 1. A jury sitting before the Newton County Circuit Court found Cary Dowden guilty of four counts of sexual battery of a child younger than fourteen years old. The circuit court sentenced Dowden to four consecutive life sentences in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections without’ the possibility of parole or early release.
