This was an action in which subcontractors sought to foreclose mechanics’ liens for labor and materials supplied in the construction of a dwelling house.

Appellees, Francis and Marguerite Lustig, were the owners of the property on which the improvements were erected. Defendant Bernard Goldstone was appellees’ contractor. Appellant, Michael Zuk, a subcontractor, doing business as Rockhurst Plumbing and Heating Company, filed his cross petition alleging that he furnished labor and material, in a specified amount, for the construction of the…
