Plaintiff in this case, an Indian tribe, asks judgment, against the defendant for $62,000,000 as damages “ for violation of the rights of the plaintiff.” The petition shows that damages are sought to be recovered by reason of the defendant having appropriated certain lands to which it is alleged plaintiff had title, and a further claim is made on account of destruction of game alleged to have been wrongfully permitted by defendant on this land.
