The plaintiffs, Peter Marcus and Susan Patricelli, bring this action against the defendant, the American Contract Bridge League (the “ACBL”), asserting causes of action under the Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938, 29 U.S.C. § 201 et seq. (“FLSA”), and specifically the collective action provision of the FLSA, 29 U.S.C. § 216(b), to remedy the defendant’s alleged violations of the wage-and-hour provision of the FLSA.
