MESKILL, Circuit Judge:

This is an appeal from an April 22, 1988 opinion and order of the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York, Stanton, J., which granted plaintiff-appellant Thomas Gleason’s motion to amend his complaint in a consolidated action brought against numerous defendants-appellees and dismissed the amended complaint based on the running of the statute of limitations, failure to state a claim *690upon which relief may be granted, lack of subject matter jurisdiction and res judicata.

We affirm in part, reverse in part, and remand.
