LABORDE, Judge.

Plaintiffs in this matter, David M. Broadway, individually and as the administrator of the estate of his minor son. Michael Paul Broadway, and Debra Broadway, filed suit against defendant, the State of Louisiana, through the Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD), for damages arising out of a vehicular accident. The accident occurred on U.S. Highway 171 between Zwolle and Many in Sabine Parish, Louisiana. After a trial on the merits, the trial court found in favor of defendant and against plaintiffs.
