Since I believe that the majority of this court has adopted a de novo approach to review of trial court actions in the case of prosecutorial misconduct, I must dissent from its action in this case. A de novo review of the oral argument is impractical, highly undesirable and a radical departure from well established precedent. Its adoption can only breed trouble for the judicial system as a whole and will result in a series of ad hoc decisions.
