Following a jury trial, defendant Andrew Lamon was convicted of aggravated criminal sexual assault (720 ILCS 5/12 — 14(a)(2) (West 2002)) and unlawful possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver (720 ILCS 570/401 (West 2002)). He was sentenced to an extended term of 30 years’ imprisonment for the aggravated criminal sexual assault conviction and a term of 5 years on the unlawful possession offense, sentences to run concurrently.
