LAND, Justice.

Defendant was convicted of a violation of Act No. 209 of 1914, commonly called the Worthless Cheek Law. He was sentenced to pay a fine of $301, and to be confined in the parish jail for a period of 15 days, and, in default of payment of fine, for 60 days additional.

Defendant has appealed from the conviction and sentence against him.

In the court below, defendant attacked the constitptionality of Act No. 209 of 1914 upon two grounds:

First, that the act violates article 31 of the State Constitutions of 1898 and 1913 in that the object of the act is not expressed in its title.
